Tour de Fat is a zany, bizarre, outlandish bicycle festival hosted in the beautiful Washington D.C. Difficult to describe, the festival is kind of a beer festival meets Burning Man meets music festival...on bikes. If it sounds weird it is because if absolutely is. People dress in insane costumes for the day to come out to the park and go on an hour bike ride through a pre-determined path. After the ride is done everyone locks up their bikes and the real fun begins. Complete with bicycle pits with every type of cycle you can imagine to ride, live musical acts, entertainment like tents with puppet masters, insane characters and lots of beer to drink.
