Thrillist partnered with Herradura to challenge seventy artists in seven US cities to re-craft, transform, and reinvent Tequila Herradura barrels into works of art to be showcased and judged at seven regional events. A Thrillist influencer was amongst the panel of judges ultimately awarding 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes to three of ten artists in each market. In addition to the competition each event featured custom Tequila Herradura cocktails, Mexican-inspired passed appetizers, a Herradura-inspired ice sculpture, tunes from a live DJ and more.
